Parsha Lech Lecha - Chapter 17 - Verse 1 - In Chapter 17 Avram receives his 8th trial; the trial of bris milah (circumcision). In this Verse Hashem tells Avram 3 things; I am the Gd that is Shadai,( אֲנִי אֵל שַׁדַּי ), Walk before me, and be perfect.

Parsha Lech Lecha - Chapter 16, Verses 11 - 16 The Torah describes Ishmael, the forefather of all the Arab countries. Hagar names the well where the Angel (the one who appeared to me & saw me) as a monument to Hashem. In Verse 15, Avram names Ishmael on his own, so we learn that the name of every child by every parent is done with Ruach HaKodesh (divine inspiration).
